OT-New Heart Doctor/Good for RA? | Arthritis Information

Hi all, I'm getting a new Heart Doctor!! Rah!, the 'old' one didn't like me and I didn't like her!, and so I needed to switch. I'm still in the same cardiology group, but am seeing a man who was totally out of the loop with the old doctor (I hope).

I feel so much better knowing I will NEVER have to see the 'old' doctor again, it is such a relief, I can't tell you.

I encourage anyone that is not happy with their doctor(s) to change, move on, IF at all possible. It is very stressful having to 'deal' with doctors you don't like, don't trust , don't listen or respond to you, etc.

My RA even feels better today, maybe it is the Remicade (please God, working), and it could be partly getting rid of this 'old', doctor? Who knows?????

That's good news Sarah! The doctor....and you feeling better. I'm glad to hear it. You are over due for some good things in your life. I totally agree - doctors are not gods, despite what some of them think.  We are the consumers of health care, they are the providers. If we are not happy, time to look elsewhere. I recently left a GP group after 8 yrs, they were taken over by a "health care foundation" and their previously disorganized office turned into complete chaos.  I hate starting over with someone else especially with all the problems we seem to have, but it has to be.  The hardest part is having to ask a doc you just met for pain meds and sleep meds - for all they know a new patient like me is just a drug-seeker!    PatMan I so agree. There is nothing worse than having a bumpy relationship
with your doctor. I'm so glad you move on. I see so many patients that hate
their doctors but keep going back. It is a lose lose situation. Good luck and
let us know how it goes. Thanks so much, I hear so many good things about my 'new' doctor, that he is young, and enthusiastic, I'm sure it will all work out great. I'll let you know Friday afternoon. lv sarah
