Hi all, WELL, now I've gotten a ticket for running a stop sign. The nice cop said, "i sorry' you are prob. a good driver so I'll make this easy on you. Just pay the ticket when it comes in the mail. OH THANKS, so I'm blaming it all on prednison reduction! Down from 10 to 9 today.....yikes! SarahSarah are you getting headaches from reducing the pred?  Every morning since ive been down to 11 ive woken up with a horrible headache.  Sorry about the ticket.  Glad he made it easy on you though.

Glad you weren't hurt. Thankfully there wasn't anyone coming through the intersection when you passed.

You be careful!

Oooops!!Oops Sarah, you are a worry!!  You just be more careful.   [QUOTE=hurts] Hi all, WELL, now I've gotten a ticket

OK, I'm adding that to the long list of side effects, LOL. yet another reason I am happy my body does not tolerate prednisone at all well. Every now and then I get the thought to try it yet again, but then I read something like this and remember all the horrible reactions I have had to it in the past. Then I remember poor old bloated Jerry Lewis on TV...and that gets me back on track!

So thanks because today my hands and feet are so inflamed that I wanna just chop them off...instead I think I'll whip up a batch of ginger ale. And order a couple bottles of Dandelion (a nice and surprisingly effective diuretic for me).

BTW, bummer about the ticket...and, ummm, it is not gonna be cheap. Last I heard a blown stop sign is around 0 for a first violation...plus it is a point on your driving record (might be more in our or so lovely 'zero tolerance' society we have today). But, I feel for ya...maybe ya could have used the "...I had a brain cloud..." defense from the movie ...Bang the Drum Slowly. At least I think that was the movieBreckLundin39225.711412037

Bummer, well all I have to say is that it is good that you were not hit by another car.

OK, I'm missing somethin' here....what does pred have to do with running a stop sign?  I'm sure it's obvious, but after the day I've had, I don't see it.

Phats

Hi Phats, I think like all of us we've blamed Prednisone for just about everything and anything that's happened in our life.  I know I have.  I'm tapering also and am down to 9mg. so I'd better be careful when I'm driving....

And, yes, I blame everything on Pred too.  I think it is the devil

Last week after my Remicade infusion which took over 3 hours (I was at the office for 4 hours) I got in my car and began driving home, but I was really tired and my brain was extra foggy, and I drove right through a red light. It was a big intersection and it was a miracle I didnt' hit anyone. It didn't even hit me all at once what a big deal it was. I was foggy all the way home. I know it wasn't the Remicade, I guess I was just really, really tired from sitting in that office for so long.
