I recently started getting dry peeling skin on the palms of my hands. My first thought was "Oh great it's back", because I suffered with it for many years previously. Lotion helps, but they just were always rough and peeling. I chalked it up to my PA.
Then it dawns on me as I am driving home from work - I just started back on Methotrexate! I had been off of it for 4 months and my hands were normal. Now being back on it the dryness and peeling has returned.
Has anyone else experienced this side-effect??
It's not a side effect that I have suffered and I think I'm going on 5 years now on MTX. Then again; I've been very lucky not to suffer a great deal of the side-effects that many do.
I haven't had this one either. But then again, I lotion all the time. My feet get really dry and I use a peppermint foot cream on them.
