You might want to call your doc on this one.  I looked up msm and what I found it is for treatment of osteoarthritis and often taken in conjunction with glucosamine.

I found reports that it's effectiveness has not been studied in humans, but in animals and the results are published for humans.  It's a huge business with like 115 million doillars retail sold for the supplement.

It's always a good idea that if anyone is going to add anything including supplements to their list of meds that they call their doc first and talk to them about it.

If you plan to start taking MSM OTC, check to see if lignisual is one of the ingredients.  I am of the understanding this needs to be in the formula to make it work, but then I am only a high school graduate and not a medical doctor or a pharmaceutical company salesperson.  dear Anna, what a good question. I've always just continued to take my vit. with MSM, in them and never gave it a thought. I'll be asking my doctor about this when I see him on the 4th. thanks for the post, sarah

You might check on your MSM a bit further.  I thought there was just some new research that said it didn't do anything for people with arthritis.  Maybe someone knows of the research I'm talking about?  Hopefully someone can chime in with more infor.
