Hot Tub a good thing? | Arthritis Information

Hello again...Since I haven't seen the Rheumatologist yet, I feel kind of funny calling with questions before we've even met...so here I am I think it's a personal thing, what works for some doesn't for others. I LOVE
to soak in a warm spa, it helps me relax and it loosens up my joints and my
muscles. Cold does nothing for me except make me into the Tin Man from
the Wizard of Oz before he gets some oil

I'll be in Mexico the end of the week (hopefully provided our resort is still there!!) And I plan to do alot of what you talked about Molly. I can't wait!!

Unfortunatley I am only able to benefit from a hot tub when Im am out of town staying at a hotel. But I LOOOOOVE IT whent I am able to take a dip in one. The warm water and jets up against your aching joints is absolutely heavenly!!!! Even after you get out of the hot tub you still feel the effects of the warm water for a few more hours. Kinda wish I was in one now!!!

What I wouldn't give for a hot tub! I just lie in my little bathtub and enjoy that hot soak. I can't even begin to imagine how wonderful a real jacuzzi might feel. It's been a very long time since I've been in one. Before I was diagnosed with RA. Heat works best for me too.

All of these accolades for hot tubs makes me wonder if we couldn't get tax writeoffs for having one installed in our homes.  It's therapeutic and works well....yes, there is an aftereffect of feeling well even after leaving the hot tub.

Lovie, have a great time in Mexico!  Vacations are also great therapy for whatever ails you!  Come back soon!

Off topic I know but Lovie I thought I would let you know that I know two people that have just got back from Mexico (my brother and my best friends mum) who say it is so hot there right now. My best friends mum also has RA and said that the hot weather worked wonders for her joints. Hoping it will be the same for you. xi love hot tubs!
