Hi. I have been to four rheumatologists all with different diagnoses. This last one ran some labs again but I can't get in to see him for 3 months since he is out of the country. I was given the lab results and was curious if any of you know what the CCP test results mean. The range was 0-19 and it said my results was 158 strong. When I read about the test online, I am not sure I like what I read but wondered if any of you have experience with this test and can give me some indication as to the RA implication. My RA factor is always negative. Thanks a million and I am really nervous so if anyone can email me here or at texpen@aol.com, I would greatly appreciate it!

I've never had the test myself as I'm seopositive, but the above seems pretty straight forward. Hope it helps!
From my limited knowledge, the CCP or anti-CCP is a fairly new test which is used to definitively diagnose RA in those who have been sero-negative with a negative RA factor such as yourself. It's still RA but sometimes having a definite diagnosis makes getting treatment, insurance coverage, etc. easier. Pat
