Hoarseness is worse | Arthritis Information

 

I have read here that some people exsperience hoarseness during a flare.Mine is getting much worse.Not sure if I should go see an ENT dr. or back to family dr.ANyone have this much trouble and discomfort with hoarseness?

Sheila136638549.4540740741Yes, I certainly get hoarse during and after a flare.  You want to make sure it is not something else tho.  If you have fever, check with your primary care dr.  Tho I usually have a low grade fever with a flare as well...go figure.    You do not state what your diagnosed with or your meds.   Some meds can cause side effects as well but RA can definitely effect your vocal cords...the inflammation!   Good question for your Rheumy.  Good luck to you and hope you're feeling better soon!!Hi Shelia,

feels like my throat is really tense and tight and it
seems to take alot of energy to talk.
