I am so relieved. My refrigerator froze and I lost 4 Humira pens. Humira is replacing them for free. Can you believe it!!!! This is great news considering the cost.
I told myself I would not come on here today so I do not want to feel compelled to defend myself or my family. It dissapoints me in myself, that I even have the urge to be defensive.
Good to hear, Roxy.
Our fridge died, it was only 4 years old. And my MIL took my food and Humira over to her house while we found a way to get a new fridge.
Now, I keep my humira at my in-laws house, because my son will sometimes take my humira out the fridge and leave it on the counter. I think he does it thinking he is helping mommy, and he has seen hubby do it for when it is time for my shot.
NOw it is at in-laws all nice, cold, and safe. We bring it home saturday night, because we go over the in-laws for dinner on the weekends.
Roxy glad to hear they are replacing them!!!! Are you able to pick them up and take your shot today?
THANKS FOR THE INFO WE USUALLY LOSE OUR POWER A FEW TIMES DURING WINTER STORMS AGAIN THANKYOU.....TERESAWhen I first started the pens, I messed up and the pricy stuff was runningWARNING SOME OT
I won't get it until next week but I am so relieved. I never thought I would say I am grateful to a pharmaceutical company
You were the one that riled them up today, do not act so poor and defenseless!!! Please leave permanently. It will go on without you.
Roxy,BeeBee thanks so much for that info. Appreciate it.
I know I said I would not post again but I had to share this for all of those that use Humira.
I was talking with Angie this morning and she told me she has observed I have gotten sicker each time I have taken my Humira injection. Kelsey has bumped the thermostat in refrigerator several times since we have lived here. It is in the middle of the top shelf and easy to hit. The thing is - I have known that my Humira may have froze but I took it anyway. It is so expensive. Now I think that I have been damaging my body by ignoring the warnings and taking chances with using Humira that may have been frozen.
Please do not take any chances. It was stupid of me but I did not think I could replace the Humira. When you read the insert - it has SEVERAL warnings not to use if frozen. Not the first time I have done something stupid
thawed out or something????
Lovie - I did not take my Humira this week when I had the flu. That was when it squirted everywhere and we became suspicious that it has been freezing. I am still waiting for replacement.
There is a little window on the pen that you can look at to see if it has become frozen or not. Same little window that you have to look at when you inect to watch for it to turn yellow to let you know that all the med is injected.
