WEll shucks.....my daughter just told me that when she moves into her apartment that she is taking her computer.
It will probably take me over a year to afford one so my time online is very limited and I have to take all my stuff off her computer............I am soooooo bummed!

Sorry to hear this, you are going to be so lost without the computer.Maybe there is a coffee shop near you that has them for public use. You can always check in there. Just a thoughtThats not good.I will donate a computer...probably best to pick up a monitor at a good will store or something like that.

THe computer is my daughter's, her father and brother put it together for her and her dad bought most of it and it is about the only thing he ever did buy for her. My computers..yep both of them, got a virus or something and locked up and now have black screens only on them. THey got me good!
I will manage somehow, I doubt that I could stand to be disconnected from the world. I do not spend all that much time on the computer but when I want to go online or read it is surely nice.
I have an extra monitor that I found at Goodwill and with the 20% discount I got from my donations it was only .00. I will manage and try to keep online. You guys helped me problem solve it once again....I will just keep looking for a bargain!

Check your local listings. My husband and I had an old computer we had rebult for my daughter for her birthday....but he had lots in his shop that were really cheap. Older models; but what do we care, right? As long as it works.

Geez...you guys, thanks so much. I do my mom's budget and I'll ask her if I can start placing money in her savings account for myself a computer. IT does not have to be anything fancy or new. She may go along with it and say ok.
We just had to finish the front porch my placing railings up in a decorative manner so that she could get in and out of the house after her surgery. Of course her surgery was cancelled due to her potassium level but we still had to pay the bill for the new porch railings. My sis paid most of it but I have to pay her back out of mom's budget. IT will all work out...............never won the lottery befor, guess maybe I should get a ticket? Ya just never know .....

We got a computer store in town that sells refurbished computers that they get from the government starting at . I think they have a website where you can order one. I will look to see. and post it if they do.
Sorry to hear you will be without a computer, Jode. I know you need the support, just like everyone else. I hope you will soon be able to purchase a new computer and be back with us again real soon. Maybe by then the board will be back to it former glory by then?

The refurbished ones sound ok, I may ask my sis if she has one I cna borrow and she is right across the street. Yep, sure do need the support, friendship and all else that goes along with the net and computers.
