Light touch keyboards? | Arthritis Information

Hi , does anyone know of keyboards that are light to the touch? I just got a new micorsoft and the dang thing requires me to push down too hard, so I went back to my old PC concept. Is there some way to regulate the 'touch' on the keyboard?????Sarah

Well I did a little searching, and here's what I found:

No finger pressure required, but they're expensive:

Here's an optical keyboard that senses where your fingers are:

But as far as which basic keyboards have light touches, that seemed to be harder to locate.

These keyboards advertise lap-top style keys with lighter action for faster typing:

Thanks for the info. I am going to put in a check request at work for the "no touch" keyboard. I really appreciate you doing the research. I am still working full time and spend much of it on the computer.thanks again, Rain Have you seen the ones that are lazer projected onto the table. It projects
the keyboard onto the table top and all you have to do is tap the keys on the
flat surface and it works pretty well i guess. I'll find one and get you the

This shows a pic and explains itMy gosh, can you believe it a laser keyboard, I'm impressed, thanks, SarahDude.........we want that laser one *so* bad. This is a house of nerds, and that keyboard is drool worthy. LOL If/When we get one, I will DEF. let you know what we think of it!!! A friend of my husband got himself one and he really likes it. just think, you
can sit a plate on the table and while you eat, you can just push the keys
with your fork or knife, how kewl is that. Look for smaller keyboards as well.  I forget the site my hubby ordered mine but it was only like .99. Its about 1/4 the regular size of a keyboard but since my fingers don't travel as much, its easier for me to use!
