Funny, reading another thread I came accross this word ' Costochindritis' so looked it up and quess what, I had this in my 20s.  I also had trouble with my achilles tendon for a long time in my 30s.  Reckon this could all be connected to my now PA.  I have P since my early 20s.  I was at a GP with both these complaints and it never came up about PA even though the doc know about my P.  Will run this by my RD next visit, hope no old damage has been done over the years.

Hi Chris

I sympathise about you having costo, I still suffer with it and it's miserable... I had a major problem with my knee over 10 years ago and that was never linked - the Dr just told me it was a problem with producing extra cartilage that stuck to the synovium and interfered witht he working of the joint. I had an arthroscopy and that solved the worst of it but since then my knee has been weak and always got swollen if I used it lots.. I always suffered lots with tired feet and pain in the balkls of me feet and heels but again it was never linked. My back has always got a bit painful and stiff but again I just got used to it and it wasn't until it got so bad I couldn't do stuff that I did something about it... I'm going to talk to my Dr about it now too - thanks for bringing this one up!

PS - hope you're doing OK today, it's grey, rainy and miserable here and so I'm curled up on the sofa feeling lazy...

Hi Chris

I am pleased your first day at work went well - take it easy and don't push yourself too hard. Glad you're managing it, the longest I had off work was 3 weeks, I went back for a week and then was off for another 2 weeks because I went back too early. I know what you mean about getting back to the land of the living - feels great doesn't it! I spent my bank holiday doing not much but went to my parent's for dinner as it was their wedding anniversary - having a lazy day is great!

KT

Chris,

Sorry you were not diagnosed earlier.  Unfortunately that happens alot.  I have had achilles issues too.  Congrats on getting back to work.

Thanks all,
