.25 in IL . My sis went to MS from IL and said she paid .09 in TN. Daughter got back from MO and gas was .99 there.

It really has affected my life. My husband car pools now. I plan a trip to town carefully. We live 20 miles from the nearest big town. I try to get my groceries, prescriptions, and all my running around in one trip but with this ra it really wears me out.!!!

.50 a litre here.  I aint drivin no where I dont gotta

.89 here. We have the lowest gas prices here but we have the most expensive car insurance rates! Go figurecheapest gas in town is .99/gal.It is about 3.49 here in Montana for 88 octane.

I own chevron stock and so I want that company to do well. I can't afford a SUV or any car that gets low gas milage, so I drive a small economical car. The oil companies are taking a  lot of heat for what isn't their falt. Like south american companies just TAKIN OVER GAS PROducing companies and the problems around the world for getting the gas from THERE to here.

I spend my dividend check and buy chevron gas, (inherited from my father in law who worked for 50 yers for the company in Richmond , california. He died an early death because of inhailing chemicals as an engineer.....we paid the price.

Gas is very bizarre here. Last week it was up to 3.05 Now it's back down to 2.99. I got it for 2.95 by getting the gift card from walmart, and using it at their pumps - their gas was 2.98, and with the card I got 3 cents off a gallon, so 2.95 isn't so bad I guess.

If anyone wants to take bets, I'm putting money on the prices going back up tomorrow or tuesday. It all correlates with memorial day travel. It shot up when the kids got out of school, dropped once all the vacationers got to where they were going, and it will shoot up again when they leave on monday/tuesday. How bogus. The sad thing is the gas stations are only making a bout a penny a gallon, if
that right now. they are relying on the stuff they sell in the store part.Or worse lorester!! I was hearing on the news about a couple/few local places who had dropped their gas prices to try to get more customers - they were losing 3 cents a gallon!! And praying that they made up for it in grocery sales in the store. How insane is that???

The average around here is .23 a gallon.  The governor proposed  removing all state gas tax for the summer, but our state legislature doesn't want to give up the money.

None of this makes any sense!

your gas works out about 21p a litre if i convert, we pay 98p a litre at the moment

Makes you wonder where it will all stop, maybe at a gal.????

.55 in northern Indiana....not cheaper anymore than Chicaago...we are the highest, they said in the nationWhat really sucks is that they just raised the minimum wage, just prior to the gas increase. So now, that minimum wage is pointless. It's already outdated. I feel sorry for people who are just starting out in those jobs. How does anyone expect them to make it? Justin and I both make well more than MW, but still have to make sure we budget REALLY carefully, BECAUSE of the stupid gas prices. It's insane.

We paid .71 for diesel for the truck and I noticed that regular was .92.

So my theory about the prices going back up today were shot out of the water. At least here in FL. They actually went DOWN a penny. I have no idea why. Who knows, right? We're finally down to 2.98. Oh GOODIE. How much to fill the tank?  We are paying about - to fill up and if we are careful we have to fill up about every 8-9 days.  It takes a chunk out of your weekly wage thats for sure.We have a crappy SUV, so to fill it right now, it's at least .

Now don't go "aw, that's not so bad"

It's every 5 days. We drive that car a 44mile round trip TWICE a day. Ugh. We need a new car. Or we need to live closer to work!!!!!

thats a big chunk katie.  We are lucky that I live about 5 min from work and Mark can ride down the hill and get the train to work then home again.  If we had to drive 2 cars I don't think we could manage.  We are one of that dying breed of a single car family.

I wish we worked or lived at the bottom of a big hill. The I'd just cut the car off and coast in...............hahahahahaha Katie - get a grip!!

A horse is good, it goes down the hill and up. I could send a ferrett or two to pull a skateboard

Kiwi - I know, I thought about the trip back up the hill too. Dang it if my plans aren't always foiled by GRAVITY. Gravity sucks

Gas prices aren't so funny. The evil Jetta takes premium. I paid 3.29 at Costco.

I would love to get a ferret.

LMAO!!

Oh our gas is down to .98 a gal. in town, but it is one gas station allllll the way in downtown, about 7 more miles away.

Ahhhhhhhh gravity, had to chuckle at that comment! It works everytime! I will never forget the time a very good friend of mine and I took a group of teenage boys to this fun place inside park deal and my friend was on the top of a slide with his daughter and I had to laugh so hard cause they were both hanging on with all their might and darned if gravity didn't take over and they both slid down....it was so funny at the time, I just looked at him and told him that gravity had a tendency to do that. Great jog of the old memory. I do remember how mad my daughter was that she couldn;t go...she still brings that up! I am certain I make no sense as I babble on but that is ok, I am like that.

I had a nightmare last night.............It started out as a normal dream about taking a road trip. We stayed at a hotel, and when we woke up in AM to leave, gas was .99/gal. We were panicking, and people were FIST fighting in the streets. Hahaha I'm retarded. arriscolwell, Scarey dream but it was probably a premonition. My son sent me this youtube trailer about The Electric Car.
