havnt been on here in a bit...been pretty busy with school, but now its over.....
anyway, my joints have been awfull last few weeks. which means enbrel is really working so nice for me. im up to 10 tabs of methotrexate which is i think 25 mg? somthing like that but hasnt really helped me....at least i didnt think so. ive been on prednisone since last summer....went on a quick 60 mg and then taper things, for a little but ive been 5 mg for sooo long, went to 2.5mg but then back to 5, i know 5 is like nothing! but im still hurting, and still swollen.......
so i took my last dose of enbrel last sat. i have to take a week off and then im starting humira. hoping it works bette. its just so frustrating. haha my rheumy says her seronegative patients are the hardest to treat, just my luck that im one of them right?
ahhhhh sorry. needed to vent just a bit. i cant keep complaining to my mom makes her worry too much there isnt anything she can do for it..

Your story sounds a lot like mine -- I was dx'd in December and went on Prednisone 10 mg and MTX 15 mg -- when I went back in a few months nothing had helped so my RD added Embrel. I took it for a month -- nada -- so now I am on Humira and hoping something works!!!
I don't get much worse, just not any better. My RD was disappointed, I know. Me, too. I try not to get discouraged, but isn't it true that the first 2 years are when the damage is mostly done?
I sure feel that clock ticking.....
im not sure about when the most damage is done....ive had JRA since i was 8 though, this isnt new for me, but in the last 5 years or so meds havnt been really helping me.....Hi, I'm glad school is over for you for now. I was told it can take 6 mo for Embrel to start working. I was on it for 5mo and it did nothing for me. What kind of job are you looking for? I wish you the best of luck !ive been on enbrel for 6 months...
