I am having problem focusing. When I try to read, it's like my right eye can only see straight and to the left, but not to the right. It's like liquid moving on the rightside of my vision. I am ahving a very difficult time typing this.  It just started today. Can it be the Plaquenil?

Starting to make me sick to my stomach and my eye is feeling strained.

You might want to rest that eye if it is feeling strained.  Possibly an eye patch would help with that.

Your best bet is to call your rheumy with any problems if you are on plaquenil.

Ditto!  I never developed eye problems while I was on Plaquenil but my RD told me to contact him if I had ANY changes in my vision or other eye concerns.when is the last time you saw your eye doctor? You could be developing other eye problems and it could have nothing to do with plaquinel.I just had an eye exam a month ago to make sure I could take the Plaquenil. Said I was good to go.

While on plaquenil, your eye doctor should have given you an Amsler grid to have at home to check every so often.  If the lines become wavy...etc...give him a call.  Here is a link to an Amsler grid.

Honestly, that does not sound like placquenil.  It can be the first sign of a retinal detachment.  Please call your eye doctor.
