Just read this really interesting article on pain management.

That was a really interesting article, expecially this:
"the notion of a kind of pre-emption has captured the interest and
excitement of the entire pain-medicine community. Treat acute pain early,
the thinking goes, and you stop the brain from responding to it. You might
just wipe out chronic pain in the process."
