I'm hoping for some insight on something thats been happening.
During the night I get this back pain between my shoulder blades that wakes me up. I have to breathe and move slowly because it hurts really bad if I dont. I have to be careful how I lay so obviously once it starts I dont get much sleep. Then when I finally just give up and get out of bed my back is very tight and sensitive. It might be having spasms,not sure.Once I get moving throughout my day it never happens,only at night.
I had something similar but more severe happen about a month ago. I had just finished my loading doses of Orencia and my entire torso from my neck to the top of my knees starting hurting SO bad at night while sleeping that I felt like my body was breaking. It was horrible. I felt like a dainty little body person,I was so aware of the pain in my bones. But I know different! I called my rhummy and he gave me low dose prednisone to see if it could be a reaction to the Orencia. Well the 2 weeks on the prednisone I didnt have it. As soon as I finished the prednison ,the next night actually,I started getting the back pain I described above. I honestly dont know where to start with this. any ideas? To me the Orencia could be the culpert but then again I am almost a month since my last infusion.
Wow, I don't know where to start with this one. There must be inflammation somewhere if the pred made you feel better before. But where and why I just don't know.
Sometimes gall bladder issues will give you pains like you are describing also.
Hi, I have similar to what you are describing and have had thoracic facet joint inflammation diagnosed from the RA, I had a steroid nerve block done and it has been great since, it did start to rumble recently when my ESR went right up and all the other joints flared too, but a pain patch called buprenorphine has really helped and MTX. Hope this might help you, good luck Janie. Isnt it odd though that I never had any of this before the Orencia? What kind of test would I ask for? My rhummy is out of town, of course, and i am considering calling my primary just to get started on some tests. Please dont say an MRI! No can do!Hi,
Boy! , I can really understand why you don't want to take the Orencia. could you take it in a smaller dose? I have pain between my shoulder blades, but I 'need' to take my MTX tonight, so I think I will feel better, I've also gone from 9mgs of pred to 8, so that could be adding to my problem. My neck has been creaking and aching, I have osteo in my neck according to Xrays, so that may be contributing.
I'm glad you called your doc., it is important to catch them before the weekend, and keep telling them how you feel. Don't suffer, Sarah
