WEll if you do not believe in karma or angels, you may now.

My daughter graduated today.......

Happy but sad but happy .................and oh so very proud!( they don't have a smiley for proud..........hmmmm.)

Get this, I wrote in my post about the flower thingy and the rose thing that my dad died 3 weeks before they called us for adoption of our daughter and it was  3 weeks from my dad's death and the funeral  and all and the little roses for each grandkid but hers was not there cause she was not with us yet, ok?

Well my mom wanted to do something for my daughter's graduation cause she was not going to be able to go so I suggested flowers for all the graduates because I was giving my daughter her 3 yellow roses and I wanted all the kids to recieve roses cause they worked hard too. So she said call the school and go to the florist and get it situated, yes that is what she wanted to do. Ok so 2 months ago i arrange all this.

Two days ago the school calls and says that many red roses would be 0.00, I said noway. So I called around  and we could get multi color roses for under .00. Much better.

Anyway, got them ordered  yesterday, went to check on the order and pick them up at 4:30 today ( graduation, had to be in seat at 6:50P/M)and no roses, not even my daughter's flowers that I ordered. Great. COme to find out, the owner had given them to a girlscout leader who was picking their flowers up for another GS leader. ARG!

It all turned out though, the guy called the GS leader, they got the roses back and I picked them up and got them safely to the graduation. WHEW!

Everyone got their rose.........but one graduate didn't make it to graduation, you could tell because her name was not called, one red rose stood in the vase, and her diploma was still on the table. My heart sank and the tears began to fall. It turns out that  she is related to a client of my sister's and she just had a baby 3 weeks ago.( CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION DO NOT REPEAT!)

As I left the auditorium one red rose was left in the container and one diploma was left untouched on the table. I looked at it and time sort of stopped for that brief milisecond (all the while all the hustling and bustling of all those people around me rushing and shoving their way to the reception area) And I knew then that there is no doubt in my mind that there is a God, and that there are angels and my dad was at this graduation.

jode

Awwww.... Don't ya know? They are always around when you need them most That's lovely Jode.  What a day to remember.

What a wonderful story. I know with all my heart that our loved ones are with us always, but especially for the beautiful moments in their lives.

Congratulation to your new Graduate. That was a really loving thing for your Mom to do for all the kids. I'm sure it was a moment they will always cherish.

Hugs to all,

Nini
