Stiffness Question | Arthritis Information

I have not experienced a lot of stiffness but this morning it feels like I am trying to walk through water.  I have been this way for over 3 hours and just wanted to know if that walking through water description is how others feel on a bad morning of stiffness.  I am also in a lot of knee and ankle pain.

Thank you

For me, my morning stiffness feels like I am walking against a very heavy wind.

Yeah; I guess I'd describe it that way. I always like to describe it as "I feel like the tin man in need of my oil!" lol

Hope you feel better soon.

That is a good analogy.  This morning it has felt like under water but is lifting some now.  I keep very detailed notes so I wanted to indicate the stifness and how long it lasted.

Thanks Gramma

walking through water describes my morning stiffness perfectly.Bonny, that could be a sign of a flare. 3 hours is a long time for that
stiffness to hold on to you. You may want to take a good day to rest and
hopefully will feel better tomorrow.Hi, yes, every thing slows down, it takes me forever to get dressed, etc. My fingers are stiff so tht i can hardly grip my coffee cup. Took 20 MTX today, so hope tht helps. sarah

Lorster I am going back to bed after this post.  I tried to walk it out this morning to no avail so I give up.  Sarah I injected 20mg MTX and 50mg Enbrel Tuesday evening.  So much for these meds.  I hope you feel better soon.

Bonny, we both have PA and I tell you I'm stiff.  It's like walking through water in the morning but you know it's worse for me at night.  I literally stumbled into the bedroom, undressed, and almost crawled to the shower last night.  I had to lean up against the wall of the shower because I was so overwhelmed with stiffness and knee pain.  I feel like the water that I have to go through gets higher and higher.  Maybe tomorrow I'll just be getting tootsies wet.

I hope that you're feeling better once you get up.  Take care. Lindy
