LEarned today that along with my mother's probs with her knees ( which we keep trying to get her surgery  for replacements done but can't due to her potassium which we lowered ) but now her cardiologists tell us today that her kidneys are in pretty bad shape. SO the cardiologist has ordered a stress test to make sure her heart is ok, after that I guess it is back to her PCP to get her kidneys checked out.

This is what happenes when you are diabetic and you neglect your health as she did.

Then it dawned on me...........geesh, who will take care of me when I am sick? ME as usual I guess. THis is not good news. I have no insurance UNLESS I become cancer ridden then medicaid will kick in, other than that, nada, nothing. Mom has good insurance ( although quite expensive) but if she becomes worse, she will have to go to assitive living, which leaves me without a place to live. I suppose this is the downside of divorce huh?

jode

Boy do y'all have your plates full Jode. I am so sorry to hear you have so many trials you are facing.  I pray you and your mom feel better soon so you won't have to worry about all that for sometime to come.

Oh my!  I don't know how I missed this post until now but I'm very sorry.  Have you checked into whether or not there is a county run health program available?  There's one where I live that covers medical, vision and dental for county residents that don't qualify for medicaid.  If it's available, you can usually find it by going through the county health department. Jode please post and let us know how you and your Mother are doing.

Peace & Love...Neasy
