Today’s Doc Visit | Arthritis Information

Good evening all,

I had my GP visit this morning.  He agrees something is going on.  Either an auto immune type or the type that is just from wear and tear.  Very general!!! LOL.  Anyway, he did draw blood to do the tests, so when I go to the RD on June 21st they will have the results of the blood work, also hand and ankle x-rays.  Asked about the Sero-negative, since I was tested 5 years ago and everything was negative.  He did agree that that could be the case, but a good RD would be able to figure it all out.  Of course I have been so frustrated I cried and he said the docs I'm going to are good and just let them take me by the hand and walk me through all that needs to be done to get the answers I need.  He was soooo nice.  Now it is just wait and see.

Thanks to all for the support,

Cristal

Hi Cristal,

I'm also sero negative, so my RD used my MRI's and a physical examination to make his diagnoses. I wish my primary care had sent me to the rheumy a long time ago.He knew I had OA, but he never suggested RA and it never even crossed my mind that I could have it. It sounds like you're in good hands. It's so important to have compassionate Dr.'s!

hi, good for you. SarahWelcome Christal...

I am sero-negative as well. Seems to be more sero-negatives than positives on a lot of these arthritis forums, so you will not be alone if you are dx'd as such. There are a lot of good people here that will help you a long the way. Again, welcome!
