Wouldn't it be nice to have a house that was specially designed to adapt to your inabilities?
In a RA Dream Home you would see:
Lever handled door knobs on all doors and keyless touchpad entry.
Motion sensor sinks.
Motion sensor toilets.
Toilets that are 17 1/2 inches high.
Did I forget anything?
Walk-in bathtub: http://www.wasauna.com/buynow.php Toto bidet toilet (at proper height, of course) http://www.dirtcheapfaucets.com/ProductDetail.asp?Product=12 298&AffiliateID=NexTagDCF I had a walk-in tub installed a year ago and I gladly sit and wait for it to drain. The bath makes me feel so much better it is worth it. I am not able to get out of a conventional tub and I absolutely love my tub. I have bubble jets and I opted for a shower curtain rather than the enclosure so it is more open. It is wonderful. I decided on this rather than a hot tub because I figured I would use it more, especially in winter. http://www.comfortbath.net/walkintubs.shtml Also need a Hot Tub, with many many jets to massage the ol back and neck.
...and an elevator!
With music that will not make the already fatigued not fall asleep before their floor
Cabinets that are custom built to my height. With pull out shelves. An island cooktop and a built in oven at just the right height. And lets not forget wireless internet access from every room in the house. A pastry chef to make lots of yummy cakes and puddings . I would rather skip the elevator and keep it all on one floor....
