We have had some pretty severe weather today so I am kinda scarce today. Even with my awesomely expensive surge protector for the computer I am still unplugging everything lol. Right now there is a lull in the weather. My dog is even scared lol. So far, only 2 tornado warnings and neither in my county. I am still trying to get in touch with a friend who lives where we know there was a touch down. I am beginning to think there is a cell tower down somewhere. Sigh. We have our emergency supply bag packed and ready to just pick up and carry to the basement. And yes, my meds are in it lol. I have been keeping a close on our doppler and you can watch these storms form and spin off into classic "J" hooks that cause the tornados. Interestingly enuf, these are "cold" funnels that rarely make it to the ground and when they do the damage is not as bad as a regular "warm" funnel. That is because we have a southeast wind. The wind is coming in off the lake and that acts like a huge air conditioner basically. Then we have the warm moist southerly air coming up. When they meet, KABOOM! Summer in the midwest!!!! Gotta love it. Makes for some nice lightening shows at night tho.
The ole ra isn't fairing well either with all of this. Day 4 of misery with 1-2 more days of bad weather to go. It has been a countdown lately til I can take those break thru pain meds again. Housework is slooooow to non exsistent. I am not comfy unless my legs are elevated so that puts a kabosh on computer time. I really need a laptop. The humidity is just awful and making me swell like a balloon. I think this is worse than winter weather. Just so much moisture in the air. Yuk. Gotta kinife? I need to cut me some air lol.
