Anyone else on here from TX? Im from Forney, Tx... Just outside Dallas...I live kinda in the Country... We have a couple of acres and a pond out back..I love my home but man... right now its a sog-fest...How about all this stupid rain!!... I dont know bout yall, but im about sick and tired of it.. Im waitin for my pond to end up at my back porch any day now! I think either the rain or the humidy lately has made me feel even more icky...Has anyone ever considered relocating to a dryer climate to help w/ their RA?
Linda

We did live in a drier climate at one time (AZ) and it helped me a whole lot.  I was lucky enuf to be thrown into a nice remission.  Med free.  But, that isn't the case for everyone since ra effects us individually.

Now I am back in the midwest (WI) and the rain and the humidity.  Ouchie is all I have to say lol.

Hi, Linda

I am from Texas too -- south central Texas near Austin, also out in the country.  We have had a very wet spring but imagine it will turn hot and dry before long.

Perhaps the heat down here will be good for our RA? Guess I'll find out as this will be my first summer since being diagnosed. So we'll see!

I too am from the Lone Star State! I live in Burleson, about 15 minutes south of Fort Worth. Weather has been the same here and boy does it ever reek havoc on my body!
We MIGHT be moving to Texas after the first of the year.  My husbands company has a small-ish plant out in Kilgore.  They are building a larger newer plant slated to be done after the first of the year.  If my husband can get a trainers position there alnog with a relocation bonus we are Texas bound.  Only down side that may stop us from going..nearest rhuemy for Danielle is 2 hours away in Dallas.  Eeeech.  It is our understanding that the climate would actually be better for me and Danielle.  I was told I would have more up days than down days.  SOunds good to me!!!Hope everything works out w/ ur husbands job! Its been very rainy this year which really isnt very common..and i have been pretty miserable.. we are usually in a drought by now.. but once the heat sets in it will be dry and HOT like normal... I seem to do the best in the heat. Im really cold natured anyways and my joints dont like the cold.. I spend most of my time outside because my husband and kids kinda freeze me out....

Linda....TELL me about the rain!!! I'm north-east of Dallas, and oh boy, thhis rain, as much as I love it that we are OFF water restrictions (although I think they should stay in place, jsut because we have plenty of water this year....who knows about the future, right??) it's just KILLING me pain-wise.

I was all excited about the heat wave that we are in, but I'm not feeling any better pain-wise. I think I'm just in such a massive flare or SOMETHING. Ugh. Thank GOD for Lidoderm patches!! (althoughh with the humidity, they don't stick too well!!!)

Where in Dallas are you??? We should go have lunch or something some time. It's always nice to meet up with others who understand. My RL friends just look at me as "oh we can call Julia if we have a headache, bet she has something for it". My friends!! (a few understand...it's hhard though....I think everyone who is friends or a family member of someone withh pain like ours needs to experience it for ONE day!!)

I don't think it's helping that my daughter seems to have some type of virus (she's achey all over), and I think I'm getting it, cause my skin is starting to hhurt too the touch. I've already had the flu once!!! *grumbles*

Do you ever pop to Northpark? I love to go down there and walk around. I don't do much more than window shhop most of the time, but it sure is fun!!

Goodmorning,

I am also from the Great State of Texas!  I live in the Hill Country.  About an hour from Austin.  I really love Texas.  I don't like the heat but no matter where you live there is something that is not perfect.

Sandra
