sure gonna ask for something stronger this Friday when I see him. They
say it can take up to 3 months or longer for Plaquenil to kick in, if
it's going to. Bombadeeda! Bombadeeda!
Lisa hun you really do need something stronger so you are not in so much pain. Pain really can do a number us emotionally and physically. There are many physiological changes that take place in the body and in the brain when we are in chronic pain. And lately...you have had it pretty bad. I really hope your rd will give you something stronger.
Something of an interesting note on plaquenil that I learned the other day from my parents forum. They do not give it to jra kids because it takes too long to kick in and most of the time does not work for them. Sound familiar???
I can't offer any suggestions but I can send you big (((( )))) and wish you were feeling better.I am in such severe pain. My right wrist and right knee are swollen, sore and the pain in my right wrist is starting to radiate up to my elbow. I am so sad. I don't want to deal with anything because of it. Unfortunately, I have lots of workers here everyday doing work on my house and screwing things up! I'm not very nice lately. i'm at my last straw.Dear Lisa, DANG! I'm not feeling good about your pain. I too am trying to drop the darn prednisone. We'll see, won't we. I hope you can get some other pain meds that work (they gave me Gabapentin for the pain before I got to prednisone, etc. maybe that would help you?) Good luck, and so sorrrrry, LyndaThanks guys! I hope you have a really good doc because they will not let you be in pain like that. The stress of the stuff with the house is not helping either. You might even need some pred to knock out that inflammation going on. Take care of yourself!! You are the only you we all have!!
