Well, I was driving by this car lot , after the garage sales today, and low and behold there sat the most gorgeous RED RED, corvette convertable you've ever seen, and so I stopped my car and went up to the salesman and said, 'I'd like to drive that corvette' , so he said, 'OK I'll get the keys and we'll buy some gas (in case we want to go a ways, huh???), So, I got into the car and drove,...... my the powr!, the sound of the engine, the wind in my hair!!, the young salesman next to me! ,
I drove about a mile over to my husband's friends house (where my husband was visiting), I phoned THEM on my cell, from the parking lot of our friend's 'retirement home complex' but my husband had already gone home!! Darn!, so I asked my husband's 85 year old friend if he'd come to the parking lot and talk to me (he didn't know I was driving a red corvette....YET! So, he walks down the driveway, I'm parked in the first space and he about freaked!! out!! He asked, "Is this yours?"
The salesman said, "she just bought it" , My husband's friend's eyes got very wide and he said, "REALLLY????", We said , "No', I ws just test driving it!!
what fun!, what excitement , another corvette owner we past, WAVED at me! So, that was my Saturday, garage day. My husband thought it was a great fun idea, when I got home with an arm load of Orange Sherbert.....
