We found out why I’m Sooooo fatigued | Arthritis Information

Thursday I had my cardiology appointment.

I love my cardio doc he's smart, LISTENS to me, and cute as all get out. He is so exceptional, that when I first became so sick with cardiomyopathy and was 'treated" by another cardiologist (who I fired within a week)  my current doc literally apologised to me saying,  "on behalf of my profession.. I want to apologize for your previous doctor's lack of care." wow..

Anyway  I first saw his nurse and we discussed my meds, my lifestyle, my RA and the fact that now we are raising both grandkids ages 20 mos and 5 years..

So when Dr. McDreamy came in, he looked excited and  happy and said "Kathy, we have found the cause of your fatigue.. you're raising 2 kids under 5 at your age"

We had a real laugh  then   did the exam. basically my heart has recovered as much as it is going to, but the RA is the big issue now. He no longer says I'm deconditioned, noting, you have almost total care for  2 kids including trips to the playground and horsie back rides.. you are in good condition.

Anyway  so now at least I know why I cant stay awake past 9 pm..

Wow Kathy, you certainly deserve the "GRANDMA OF THE YEAR AWARD"  I am glad that your heart is okay and I bet that those little kiddos keep your mind off from RA.  It would be nice if you could share some pics of the little angels Kathy.
My Mom and Dad took me and my two little ones in after my divorce and her doctor told me that it was the best thing that could happen to her as she was entering menopause. My children and I were very fortunate and I will always be grateful.
Hug them for us!!

Wooohooo!!  You are an awesome gramma!!  Raising 2 kids under the age of 5 with heart problems and ra is just awesome and amazing.  I am tired after our granddaughter goes home and I only have ra!  I can't imagine doing it on a full time basis.

I am glad everything is good with your heart!  I have a cute PCP lol.  I love going to the doc sometimes lol.

Kathy,

Your story reminds me of when I was looking for a new pcp about 6 years ago and a friend of mine told me she had a good one and he was an "older man". I thought "good" because I didn't want to discuss all my troubles with a good looking guy lol! Got to my first appointment and he was a knockout, a couple of years younger than me! I just had to keep him. Now his black wavy hair is starting to go gray at the temples. So distinguished.

I think it's wonderful that you have your two grandchildren. You must be exhausted at night but I bet it's the good kind of tired. And I bet they love you so much.

My "butt doc" (surgeron who removed my cyst on my butt LOL) was very good looking. Then come to find out he is related to my oldest sister's husband's family. Geez, talk about loosing all sense of modesty when you have a butt cyst. LOL.

I admire what you are doing raising your grand kids. That is a very wonderful thing you are doing. With heart problems and ra you deserve a medal!! I bet those kids are the reason your heart is doing so well. Fills it with love.

Having said that, can't the kids Mom get birth control
