just had the worst morning i have ever had in my entire life.   got up and couldnt walk, left leg and foot gave way beneath me and went into spasm, clung to the walls of the bedroom to get out the bedroom door, couldnt get downstairss quick enough   (sigh)  so wet my pants.    shivering and cold like i had the flu, couldnt raise my arms, left arm in agony.  i just cried and cried and cried.   thank god i see the rheumy tomorrow.
anna_uk Oh Anna, I am so sorry you went through all that. And so glad you are going to the doctor tomorrow. Hope you have someone around to help you today. Take care and I pray you will have a better day! SueLeeAnna - I am so very sorry that you are feeling so bad.It sounds like a major flare and maybe you should call your G.P. or rheumys office today and see if they can fit you in.Please have someone with you incase you should fall. This happened to me and i fell down the stairs  and broke 2 bones in my back.....I have PM'd you my phone no. incase you want to chat.BLess your heart....I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a bad morning. Hopefully the RD will be able to get you back on track tomorrow. Hang in there. I am so sorry you are suffering so right now.  Lets hope you have a good appt tomorrow.  Love and hugs ((((hugs))))  I am so sorry things are so icky right now.  I hope your rheumy will be able to get going in a better direction tomorrow.  If you feel up to it, please let us know what he said.

Oh Anna how I can relate and I'm sooooo sorry honey.  I have no idea what time it is there but is there anyway you can call the office and see if you can move up today.  At the clinic I go to if you go for regular appoinments you wait for what seems like eternity but if you go in the same day because you're in pain they seem to get you back very quickly.  (((Hugs)) sweetie, I hope you feel better soon.

Peace & Love...Neasy

Oh you poor thing, what an awful morning! I agree you need to be seen asap. Is there anyone who can go with you and maybe stay with you at home? I have stairs in my house and when I am flaring, I do not use them at all. Is this possible for you? Even if you have to move your bed downstairs to a corner or something. Please be careful! I hope your appt goes well.evening now in uk.  feeling calmer but left foot still needing to be amputated (excuse my sick sense of humour)  .  will update you all tomorrow after the appt.   anna_uk

Oh, Anna

I really identified with your post, although I have not had such a bad experience (yet).  Every morning when I wake up I dread getting up for fear of something occuring like what happened to you.  So far, my feet have just been painful, nothing like your experience.

I live alone (except for 2 dogs & 3 cats!) and I really fear being incapacitated.  I keep my cell phone on the bedside table.

Good luck with your appointment and I hope you are better soon.

Anna - I live alone also and have stairs which can add to our stress levels. Can you get an alarm, either a small personal one that neighbours could hear if you warn them or one that goes directly to an ambulance service. If the world really knew the effect this disease had on us in so many ways.......keep spreading the word.
Hope you feel better soon.
Kind wishesok.  seen the rheumy.  time for a biologic.  in uk we need to get enbrel first, so enbrel it will be in 4-6 weeks time once funding agreed.   if fail on enbel then time for humira.   time being on pred and mtx until funding comes through.
thank you for all your kindness. anna_uk Hi Anna, I wasnt even offered enbrel I went straight onto humira.it took about 3 weks for my funding to be accepted. How are you feeling now?Hi pin cushion
