I'm starting to have slight...and I mean slight...numbness and tingling in some fingers today. Has anyone experienced this?  I am starting to freak out a bit.  Thank God I see my RA tomorrow morn, but I am concerned.  Is this normal?I had and still have to some extent numbness and tingling in my fingers. It's due to nerve entrapment from swelling around the nerve sheaths.  I've not noticed any n&t since my meds have started to work and I don't have inflammation or swelling.  Don't forget to talk to your RD about it.  I'm glad you're going to see your dr. Lindy Thank you.  You know, I've had RA for three years now and just a few months ago I started these drugs...and now I am starting to have the problems...isn't that strange?

I have it too. My doctor believes it's due to carpal Tunnel syndrome; but like Lindy; I think it's just because my meds aren't working well enough right now.

He's asked me to wear braces on my wrist at night and although it worked well at first....their not helping as much now.

Welcome to AI~Jenn. Glad you're here.

which fingers...thumb and index fingers could be carpel tunnel; pinking and ring fingers is indicative of cubital tunnel syndrome aka compression of the ulnar nerve-generally at the elbow.  Wrapping a towel around the elbow at night helps with this problem.  Wrist splints will help if it is carpel tunnel.  Talk to your doctor

Fingers tingling and numbing while sleeping is a fairly common problem for even people without arthritis.  Its a matter of the sleeping positions

I've had this problem for a few months now.  My thumb, index and middle finger have been numb/tingly since december. Was told to wear wrist splints.  Later, tests confirmed it was carpal tunnel and that I needed surgery.  I decided to keep up with the wrist splints and now it's about 90% better.
