Hi I can't sleep at night so I,

Listen to my CD player with Books on Tape from the library or music., listen to the radio, get up and take a pain pill, stay up for awhile and watch an old move, read a good novel, come to the computer and write you guys!!,

My husband , bless his heart, has gotten use to me moving around the house at night and insists keeping my reading light on doesn't keep HIM awake!! Whatta dear man.

Not sleeping at night is a bother, and I haven't slept well for months. I do get to go back to bed whenever I feel like it as I am retired, I also take a nap at noon....lucky me.

I hope some of these suggestions help you, me

I read, do sudokus, surf the net.  Hubby doesn't like the reading lamp so I usually get up.  TV isn't worth watching cause we don't have cable.

I hate not being able to sleep but what I hate even more is when I sleep and still wake up feeling like I didn't...bahhhhh!  I've been known to take sleeping pills and still toss and turn....how in the heck is that possible?

Anyhoo...I watch movies, read a lot, play cards online, smoke too much and try to keep up with the post on AI which I can never seem to completely tackle.  I feel like I miss so many important posts.

Peace & Love...Neasy

If light bothers your sleeping partner, why not buy a good quality sleeping
mask for them? I have a padded silk one and a bean stffed cotton one and
both work great. Especially if one of us wants to watch TV in bed while the
other sleeps, or we want to sleep in the daytime.Sleeping issues are hard. It sounds like you have found some effective ways to cope. Have you talked to your doctor about your sleeping? I hope you get a wonderful night's sleep tonight. Love and sleepy hugs, JActually I forgot to mention that hubby usually snores like a steam shovel while I have the light on.  He will roll over and wake up for 2 minutes and then say hon could you turn the light out, I can't sleep!   Then he promptly rolls over and starts snoring again.  I have to laugh cause part of the reason I can't sleep is HIS snoring!  I don't think he realizes that he has been sleeping for hours. He thinks the light wakes him up but I think its just part of the sleep cycle cause he's back deep asleep in minutes.  He is one of those snorers that snores on his back ( also his stomach, right side and left side!).  Doesn't matter how often I kick him, he'll just roll over and start snoring again.  I keep trying to get him to go to the sleep clinic like I did but he says he sleeps OK.  I'm going to tape him one night so he can see how bad his sleep apnea is then maybe it will convince him to do something about it.This is a good thread with some good ideas
