Well.
I have a bruise on my hip, right up front where the pelvic bone rounds (does that make sense?) Not only that but there's a lump(?) under it?? It's a slightly movable lump, and from time to time it very randomly shoots little, bizarre sensations down my leg and across my lower abdomen. I just noticed the bruise yesterday, and noticed the lump today. The bruise has already yellowed, and is fading. Anyone have a clue? My hips hurt, they feel like they're going to pop out of socket. Grr.
An another thing.
My hands are sausages again - BUT I didn't even know it. JUSTIN pointed it out to me. I don't feel anything, and I can bend them just like normal. Well that got me to looking, and my knees and elbows and ankles are swollen again. But this time I don't feel anything. I feel fine!
Is it even worth going to the doc over? Or should I try some home help first? I do have some mobic left, but it upsets my stomach...I don't WANT to take it. And the bruise thing, well that I'm just clueless on!
Thanks :)
Hi Katie, Did you fall or bump your hip? I don't know if others do this as much as I do, but without my walker or cane, I'm always bouncing off the walls at home.
What really concerns me, though, is the lump. Is it soft or hard? My hemotologist recently checked one on the inside upper arm and told me it is a lipoma (little "fat" cyst or tumor). He said that mine is soft and usually cancerous lumps are hard.
The fact that your hips are hurting that badly, sounds like you may be flaring pretty badly. When's your next RD appt.? Your should probably check in with your Rheumy, anyway, about the lump and pains.
One a personal note, I have missed you, lately! Maybe I just haven't been reading as much, but it sure seems as if you haven't been around lately.
Please let me know how you are doing
Gentle hugs,
Nini
I'm sorry! I've been doing SO WELL and work has been a mad house, so my free time has been me sitting my fat behind on the couch. LOLHi Katie....
Why don't you call the doc on Monday and ask about another anti inflammatory that maybe won't be so bad on your stomach? As for the lump......don't know that's crazy. But you should call the doc and let them know. Have you ever had hip problems before this?
I hope you get some answers. I've missed you too. You always crack me up.It's a wierd place for it, but maybe it's a nodule---they move around. But
usually they are hard.CALL THE DR ON MONDAY!!!
LOL
I made sure I saw someone last week. Although, I didn't get ANY awnsers. *sighs*
SO freakin' frustrated!!!!
Katie - the MOTHERS are speaking!! Call your Doc about what is happening, the bruise, the swelling etc AND to ask about the lump,to relieve our minds at least, if not your own. Be a good girl now!!
Katie, it does sound as if you could be at the start of a flare SO GET YOUR ASS TO THE DOCTOR NOWWWWWWWWW!!!!! I think it could be inflamation even though you arent hurting , I get it but then WHAM the rest follows. It may not turn into anything more than it is now but get the lump looked at and we'll all be happy bunnies( maybe ferrets)
Take Care
The nodules on my hands that were all removed took up the bigger part of my hands and were fluid filled ( synovial fluid) those I had to have surgery for and the tendons rerouted. Lots of physical therapy adn I still do the exercises for my hands on occassion.
Oh and yeah...I agree with the others.....CALL the DR!
jode
I remember when my son was younger and playing baseball. He got a huge bruise on his leg but I was concerned about the lump under the bruise. I took him to the doctor and he told me that it's very common to have a lump under the bruise...can't remember the explaination for it though....sorry. Alright, I'm gonna call the doc on Monday..............HAPPY?!?! LOL
