Does anyone here have heart palpitations? I am on MTX, 7.5 once a week and take folic acid 5mgs twice a week. I also take Ibuprofen 400mgs 2 or 3 daily. I have been taking these for the the last 7 weeks with no major side effects. The last week or so though I have heart palpitations every day and they can last quite awhile. I have a GP visit for bloods this week and will mention this to him but I wonder if it's a reaction to something I am taking.

i think a side effect of ibuprofen is heart palpitations. perhaps you shoudl check this out with your doc? hope you feel better soon.

Hi, Do you drink caffeine? eat chocolate, etc. I can not drink coffee or tee with caffeine in it anymore without having 'irregular' heart beats. My heart speeds up and sounds like it is skipping a beat.(?) A Strange feeling. I have my own stethoscope (as I had a heart operation in Dec), so I check my heart when I 'feel' it beating strangely. I only have problems after drinking caffeine.me
I am glad whenever someone posts this because I too have had these. I cut out as much caffine as possible and they got under control. Do a goggle search, they are actually quite common. It is good to mention them to your Doc in case yours are caused by something else. My Doc. said they are nothing and I can remember having them at different times my entire life, especially around my period. They are also very common around menopause.
