I am having some problems with numbness in feet and toes and hands and fingers. I don't feel them most of the time. At first it would come and go. Now it stays there. I asked my doctors and they do not know what is causing it.

I have a numb big toe, but it is only half numb from like the middle to the top and I am putting it off as ingrown toe nail

best of luck to ya and hope you feel better mentally soon. I know how it takes a toll on your mind.

joonie39251.655462963thank you joonie, My grandchild from charlotte NC is flying in tommorow I hope I feel good to drive to pick them up it is a 1-1/2 hours to the airport. I am excited.

Hope you have a great time with your daughter and grandson. Sounds like a fun week to be able to spend time with them.

Hi Joan,

I'm sorry you are feeling so lousy. I have gained 20 lbs this year from the prednisone and so I definitely understand. I just hate it. Nothing fits, but there is no sense focusing on it so I try to just eat healthy and be as active as possible and to focus on the fact that I am doing all I can about my weight for the time being.

You should see a neurologist for the numbness to see if anything can be done. I wouldn't give up too quickly on that. I think RA can cause this, or circulatory problems. I have nerve problems too and it is worth checking out with a neurologist. I hope you feel good this week so you can enjoy your family.

Dear Joan, I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with this. I hope you find some relief soon. Love and gentle hugs, JuliahI'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow for some slight tingling and numbness in my hands and feet.  When I had my hip surgery 5 years ago they ordered x-rays of my neck and discovered instalibility in the C1 and C2 vertebrae (which RA can cause).  I've had to monitor it ever since.Angel, has your dr. ruled out Reynaud's? This happens to me when my hands and/or feet are cold. They turn white and get very numb, then they slowly turn blue, gray and back to pink. Try a google on it and see if you have ethe same symptoms.Honey, It don't get numb if I am cold or hot it don't matter. it comes and goes no matter what the weather is and some times it stays all day and some days it comes and goes it is a funny thing. But thanks for the infro. When my daufgter goes back home in 2 weeks I will be doing some doctor visits I am sure. Well got to go headed for airport to pick up my daughter and grandson. Joan

My fingers and toes are slightly numb all the time but it doesn't affect anything I do. I had nerve conduction tests and have mild peripheral neuropathy and carpal tunnel in my hands.

I take 12.5 MTX (6 mos now). Can't go higher because of side effects. I am very reluctant to take medications and wonder how you can sort out the multiple drugs I hear that people take. My doctor is pushing Enbrel but I'm holding off. I am not in pain. I have refused prednesone in the past becasue of the negative things I've discovered.  I now have minor eye problems (am 65) so wouldn't take plaquinal.

Only a doctor can diagnose your problem but it seems to resemble mine. And I too have taken the tests and I do have Neuropathy. It is numbness, tingling and pain. My advise is to see a Neurologist. They can take the necessary tests and diagnose you. Letting it go is not the way to go! You need to understand what is causing this.

Have fun with your family! Being together is so special!

Joan - Have fun with the grandkids! I hope you have an extra good time with them and not too many of the ole RA problems while they are visiting! Oh and do not let them fight over crackers it is sooo annoying!!
