Why I chose AP Therapy | Arthritis Information

This is an excerpt of the post I just made on AF.  The only thing deleted is the link back to the original post.  I'm posting this here because of 1) full disclosure and 2) to give warning to people not interested in what I'm doing.

Pip

I will be posting every day from now on because a few of your regular members have been trolling on Arthritis Insight. This is unexceptable behavior.

Since we have been accused of 'promoting' AP this person has convinced me that I should help explain to new people, or any people considering AP, why I chose it. There is a lot of misinformation out there (seeming given by people with an unknown agenda) and I am going to do my part to explain why I'm doing what I'm doing and what I think the socio-political reasons are for why we are not given this info, or worse yet, given erroneous info, by our doctors.

If you are not interested in this info, please feel free it ignore any thread I start.

If, on the other hand you want a better grip on the science behind AI diseases, or you are interested in the politics of research, or you are interested in the upcoming national health plan fight coming up in Congress, please feel free to read the article and comment or ask questions.

Bashers will be ignored. My threads are only for people interested in learning. Disagreements are welcomed. Bashing is not acceptable.

IF anybody wants more personal info, please feel free to contact me.

Pip

P.S. Here is the whole ugly thread that started this whole thing. Not understanding trolls, I did not realize I was being sucked in. Read it and see if you recognize anybody.

Pip

And yes, I admit I was rude. The only defense I have is that this was a set up.

it is not trolling to post a dissenting opinion.  And being rude "because you were set up" is not a defense it is acting as immature as the people who you think set you up.

You do not want to have a discssion of AP.   A discussion involves hearing opinions that differ from yours. and that you don't want to hear.

AP has its place in RA treatment.  But guess what it doesn't work for everybody, it is so slow to work for many that damage occurs in the meantime and some people have side effects they can't deal with.   When you can accept those facts you are ready to discuss it.  Otherwise you are no better than those "paid" big pharma people who have infiltrated the boards to sell their drugs

Very well said buckeye...If they are trolling by coming to our web site and posting their opinions, why are you not a troll for going to their web site and posting your opinion?Because she is a member of AF and probably was a member before joining AI, so she is not really a troll on AF.

Then why are the other posters who are members at both AF and AI considered to be trolls? I have been a member at both places for an equal amount of time, which place am I a troll at and which place am I a member with the right to post?

What the heck is a troll,,,,,,if it means a member posts in more than 1 or 2 or 3 threads,,,so what?   rose

Seriously?

Seriously, are we going down this road *AGAIN* Or am I imagining things? I mean really. SERIOUSLY? I feel like I'm in the friggin twilight zone. You people are amazing. Yes, I called you "YOU PEOPLE". Deal with it.

Really? REALLY?

Come on. Give it up. Please.

Trolls are someone who creates a new member name just to harrass or cause trouble on the board, but they are already a member of the board with an exisiting member name, another words they get an alias to harrass or cause trouble so no one knows it is them.

Time for a group hug?

Katie, I just joined you in "the twilight zone"If what Joonie describes is a troll (and I agree it is), then Pip! is right and
there's trolling going on around this issue.[QUOTE=joonie]

Exactly, joonie. Well said. :) ~Karin

Joins Katie and LinB - I call them chat hydras.  You cut off one head, and seven more appear.  Bit like a carbuncle???

chat hydras  & carbuncle LMAO!!

Being a newbie, I got sucked into a particular controversial thread, and initially didn't believe the whole troll theory. It's pretty obvious now though, since the person that started that thread has not been seen or heard from since.

Voicing an opinion, and even educating and promoting that which works for you, does not make one a troll. But cruising through here like a sniper on a drive-by just to stir the pot certainly qualifies.

Gale

Gale,

Fabulously funny!  Speaking from an LA viewpoint, of course!

I am, too. :)~K

Hey Higgy,

There are about 10 of us.  For the most part we were quiet and just chimed in when people had questions but there were a couple of recent posts that got my knickers in a bunch so - since I was accused of promoting AP I might as well do what I was accused of doing anyway.  Does that make sense?

I have graciously been nominated Queen of the Cult.  We haven't nominated our head 'brainwasher' yet.

Want to join?

Pip

P.S.  Hope you have a sense of humor.  That was a joke.

me too.Higgy - I'm doing AP also, but just started last week. Pip and Karin1013 are the peeps to go to if you want any information...they're EXTREMELY knowledgeable!I'm doing it, but I'm a beginner, too.
