who has a hard time opening the doors on the refridge and freezer?

I have to attempt to open it up to 5 times before I can get it to pop open. I hate opening refridges. The suction sucks ... hahahaa... the suction sucks... now that was funny, if I do not say so myself!

omg joonie..you definitly make me laugh.

Are you still wired joonie?Ok, so you get your old boy to securely (by screws or rivets or something) attach a big loop of wide fabric (maybe webbing or something a couple of inches wide, on the fridge, at the top of the door, and the freezer part.  Have it looped.  Then put your arm inside the loop, about up to your elbow, close up a bit, and lean back (gently - or you'll end up on the floor)!!

Oh now I am weird because I cannot open the doors to the fridge and freezer

My 2 year old can open the fridge door way easier than I can. It is pathetic. I am telling you I rarely get the fridge open on thr first try and then by the 2nd try, if I am going to get son something to drink he will get tired of watching me try to open the door and he will open it. But just let me ask him to open the fridge door he will look at me with "No you open it." look.

I have always had a problem opening the fridge door, I remember writing that in my disability papers too.

KiwiLass- one question does that device have to stay on the fridge the whole time or can it come off? I have a 2 year old running around and he likes to mess with stuff that he is not to mess with, and I would be freaking out everytime he went into the kitchen that he got tangled up in it, because most times he beats me to the kitchen.

joonie39253.7296643518OMG Yeah, I can see that would be a problem, but maybe it could be flipped up onto the top of the fridge where he couldn't reach it perhaps.  I dunno, I hadn't thought of that.  My aunt didn't have any wee ones running around.  And that would certainly fascinate a two year old.

I'll keep thinking, and sure some others will have some ideas.

You sure are an expert at starting interesting topics!!

OMG joonie i could totally picture him getting all tangeled up in that.....why dont you have the kids open it for you?

Further to that, another mad idea!!   I just tried a ruler!!  Put it in the door, where the rubbers are, in between the rubbers of the door and the actual body of the fridge, and leaned it back to prise it open and break the seal.   Presto!!   Open sesame!

So maybe try a ruler, or something else that might be able to prise it open - blunt knife or something (so you don't puncture the runner).
well... like I said I ask son and he looks at me like I am a nut and I should open it, but if I do not ask he opens it... I do not get my son at all... rebellious? defiant? Takes after his dad.... BINGO!! We got a winner!!

joonie, I said WIRED, not WEIRD, DO-DO BIRDOK OK - I'll go home now!! ok joonie....try the ruler thing...but by all means DO NOT use a knife hehehehe   genesis, yeah I realized what you were saying after the fact.
