well I am back on pills! Thought all PMR had vanished but my hands were still painfull. now the doc tells me I may have RA!!!! He says 10 percent of PMR patients develop RA! Does it ever stop?!
Pred gave me terrible headaches so he prescribed a different steroid methylprednisolone.
Does anyone know if 1 mg prednisolone is the same as 1 mg pred?
He also prescibed Plaquenel. I am so bummed about this especially since RA does not go away
I am so sad to hear this. My doctor also is leaning toward RA in my case also; but, I really do not think so. I sure hope not! He put me on Enbrel and it has helped the pain quite a bit. I am now on 5mg of pred per day and will start tapering soon.
I hope your hands get better and that it is some lingering PMR and not RA!
