A friend here shared a website with me to help explain the hoarseness and sore throat.reading the article it also explained why the front of my ears hurt.

Has anyone ever had arthrits like this?I think I have looked up too much stuff that now I am a bit scared. This has been going on almost 3 months now and the throat hurts more and more everyday.

Should I try to get in to see a ENT as soon as possible or am I overreacting?

Thanks, Sheila

Sheila--

Can you share the website with us?

I still go squeky every now and then but now that I have stopped the Preds its not half as bad. Maybe thats the problem. Then again I don't have a sore throat wit it.

sheila, have you been to MD to rule out other things?  I'd get a dr appt asap dear!!the website came from Toni.Look under my post sayin"Hoarseness and sore throat".She put the website there.Hope that helps.

I started getting hoarse back in May.I then got really sick starting on June 5th.Went to family dr. complaining of severe fatigue, nausea and terrible joint pain.He did blood work and ruled out RA and some other things.

I am gonna call an ear, nose and throat dr. in the morning.I had trouble swallowing this morning.

So far there has been no medical treatment for my problems other than meds. for the stomach.I hurt so bad today especially in my throat and in front of my ears and in my ears.

I had the worse time sleeping cause of the pain.I dreamt all night that I had these big knots to come up on my joints in my hands.I would wake up to check my wrists and fingers to see if it was true.

I am even more worried now about getting dx. quickly.I have been having problems like this off and on for so long.I have a  disabled daughter I have to take care of,I need to be able to do that.I'm almost at the point of demanding something to protect my joints.I pray the pain doesn't get any worse. My gastrtis is in high gear and I can't handle anymore anti inflams.

It's been a rough weekend.I hope things get better soon. For those of you who pray , please pray for me and my family. So much is going on with me,my two daughters and some other serious matters with our house.I try not to cry, especially infront of my girls but it is hard.I am so tired in my body, mind and spirit. But right at this minute I can break down for a little. The girls are taking naps and all is quiet in the house.

I am gonna read some more posts now.I feel connected to you all when I read your stories.

Take care, Sheila

I appreciate the prayers and the concern.I really do.    Sheila

Hey Sheila,

I can understand somewhat how you feel right now. Im trying to work go to school, and deal with RA and it is not easy. To top it of Im going thru a terrible flare right now. Everything that is a joint hurts right now. So dont feel like your the only one, we all get hit with hard times. Dealing with chronic illness is just one struggle in its self, and it makes trying to deal with the rest of life very hard.

Just wanted to let you know I hear ya. Hang in there sweetie. It will get better.

Hey Shawnie,

Thanks for the boost. You are right, when you are sick everything else is so much more overwhelming. We did exsperinece a big blessing today,we really needed it.Today my pain is a little better, the throat thing is still a problem and my ears still hurt.I go see ENT next Wed.

I am so proud of you for doing all you are doing and keeping at it.I really admire your determination. What are you going to school for?

I hope your flare goes away soon.Try and get some rest.

Sheila

Thanks for the boost Sheila,

Its rough trying to get thru school and work, but fortunately I have a a little time off from both right now. Im getting ready to register for fall classes on line soon. Im majoring in Special Education. You would think by now I would wanna get away from kids since Ive been an assistant provider in my moms day care for years, and I also drive a school bus part time

Glad your blessing came today. Keeping counting them too, no matter how small they may be.

Shawnie

Hey Shawnie,

I have a special needs daughter that I am homeschool. She has numerous medical problems. She has been in and out of several eduactional programs.Never found one that worked.Working with children that have speciial needs is hard but I applaude you for caring for these children.they can never have enough support.

Sheila

Sheila

Im sorry u have had such a hard time with finding a good teacher for your daughter. Right now there is a great shortage of qualified individuals to teach our children. And teachers are so underpaided for the work that they do. I know teaching special needs children will be a challenge, but I believe Im up to it. And the rewards are so numerous, its worth the challenge.

Thanx again for the support.

Shawnie
