i think all the changes people make to their diet, like cutting out processed food, red meat, additives, and eating lots more fruit and veg, cutting out tea, coffee and drinking water etc, is basically all about making your body more alkaline rather than acidic.  if this is what you are doing it is good to drink 6 to 8 glasses of filtered water a day with a dash of fresh lemon because lemon promotes alkaline environment.    a glass of fresh vegetable juice is also good.    also if you need snacks, those which are alkaline are:
black olives
bananas (the only fruit which is truly alkaline)
dates
almonds
as you said in your earlier post on diet, you don't think diet will cure RA, I totally agree, and as you say, it can help and I agree with that too.

hey there, i haven't done too much trial and error with positive foods -- any book recommendations on alkaline foods? sophista
the book I have is called The Acid-Alkaline Diet by Christopher Visey.
