Numbness & Tingling in Hands & Feet | Arthritis Information

Has anyone using Humira experienced numbness and/or tingling in hands and/or feet or dizziness?

I have had just one injection so far but I did experience numbness in my arm and fingers.  I thought maybe it was becuase I was nervous.  Now that I hear that you had the same thing maybe it was a side effect of the Humira.  It went away after the first day as did the nauea.Never experienced those symptoms.  You might want to call your rheumatologist and let them determine if it may be from taking humira. I had a horrible time with it for a while. My doctor at one point took me off Humira is thought to bring on symptoms of MS. After I had been off the Humira a little while and there was no real change he sent me to a neruologist. Turned out I had low b12 and it had nothing to do with the Humira at all.

I now take B12 injections......and have been able to restart Humira. This might not be your problem but there's a real quick fix if it is. Have your B12 checks. Rarely do the doctors check it and it can cause so many symptoms that seem related to RA but aren't really.

Don't ignore the tingling/numbness. In some cases it can be serious. Make sure your doctor is away.

Good Luck.

*Just noticing the date of this original post. Leaving it up for anyone that might currently be having this problem.

My sister has just had an onset of the numbness/tingleing problem.  She has been in the ER twice this week with it.

Her doctors have all said with a sudden onset of tingleing the patient should be taken to the ER.

This is one of the most serious side effects of Humira treatment.

This can be a sign of Stroke, TIA, or Damage (like MS) to the central nervous system all of which can be caused by Humira.

When you the patient gets to the Hospital they should tell the ER doctor they take Humira and when their last injection was taken.
Interesting as I have been experiencing similar with the toes and have had numness to my right arm.
Must keep a watch on this.
