Spouse with RA? | Arthritis Information
Just wondering how many folks out there also have a spouse dealing with RA? My hubby was diagnosed in 1990 and had to close his small business in 1991 due to severe RA and I started treatment for RA in 2001, but still work full time. Sue
WELCOME by the way.
PS I love Oregon. Considering relocating there. Is the rain hard on your ra?
Hi campqqc and WELCOME,
I am sorry to hear that you and your husband both suffer from RA. It is sorta strange that you both have RA at the same time. I don't think that happens to often.
Ra is a very strange disease. Some people have a very hard time with it from the get go and then some have minor pains and stiffness that go un-noticed for quite some time before they get to the point of having to see a doctor. My husband doesn't have RA, thank the Lord, but does have Osteoarthritis in his knee's and is causing him a lot of grief.
How are you both progressing? I hope your husband is doing much better now. Having RA, has been quite an experience. I have found, that you have to be tougher than it, to survive.
My best to you and your husband.
Toni
campqqc,
Both my husband and I have ra. I was diagnosed in 2001 shortly after our second daughter was born. In 2003 my husband starting having symptoms it took a year for him to be diagnosed. Because of this he has osteoporosis in his back and the startings of bone damage in his hands. I think that with both of us having it we are more understanding of the others limitations. You are not guessing what they feel like you really know.
I hope you are both doing well.
