Had my bone marrow biopsy and scan | Arthritis Information

I had the bone marrow biopsy done yesterday and it wasn't bad at all. Actually the lidocane shots hurt worse. I didn't feel the procedure at all. I had my CT scan today, but had to get there two hours early because the dr. didn't give my the stuff to drink yesterday and I'm 50 miles away. I go back on Monday for the results.

My insurance company approved my humira and its at the pharmacy waiting for me, but I can't start it until we know if I have cancer or not. Actually, the past two weeks have made the RA seem so unimportant.

Donna-Rae I am glad that it's over and wasn't that bad. Waiting is awful, it just is. Try to keep yourself distracted by something that really grabs your attention, like a great book or movie, or invite friends over and play games. Fill as much of your time as you can and hopefully it will go quicker. Of course you can always hang out here with us!

You are doing a wonderful job of keeping a positive attitude, which is exactly what you need to do. You're doing what you need to do, and moving forward one step at a time. I pray that you get wonderful news on Monday.

I'm glad you made it through the biopsy alright. Actually, it sounds like you breezed through it like a champ...Good for you honey!! We'll be thinking about you and hoping you receive good results on Monday.

I'm so glad the biopsy wasn't too bad. I know how very hard it is to wait for results. Just try to keep your mind occupied with the joys in you life, if you can.

Please let us know as soon as you find out anything. I think it was about 6 months ago that I went through pretty much the same thing, and it is scarey, but it seems like my mind was just trying to cope with the pain I was having. Fortunately, things turned out ok for me, after a few more tests. I pray that it will for you too.

You seem to be handling things very well. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
