Joint erosion question | Arthritis Information

Hello everyone!

I have been having a multitude of tests done since my preliminary diagnosis.
Last week I had X-rays done of both of my wrists after my rheumatologist
noticed some activity in them while looking at my bone scan results.

The nurse just called and said that there is some slight erosion in my wrist
joints and I will be having an MRI of my wrists later this week or next week.
Have any of you had this happen?

Thanks!

Hi Natty,

I've had MRI's of my hands, they showed erosions in my left hand but not my right. My RD thinks the medication is keeping it at bay. The large knuckles in my right hand are inflammed alot of the time and very painful so I'm not sure what's going on there. I have alot of pain in my right wrist but the doctor isn't sure is it's from the failed carpel tunnel surgery or RA.

I've had RA for 13 years now and I do. In my back, my knees, my hips and hands. I imagine my feet; but I've never been told that.

Make sure you are on a good DMARD treatment. My has progressed very slowly over the years. I showed it early on in my hands.....but x-rays that I had in the last two years but it really hasn't gotten too much worse. Some is expected I guess.

What medication are you on?
