Guess what.....

I just bought my first house! I still can't believe it!

I have been renting a townhouse since the divorce and the birth of my
son. I decided to just see what was out there. I certainly didn't think that
I would be able to find a house that would work for me. Obviously things
are tight moneywise since it is just the two of us. I didn't want to settle
for a house that wasn't what I wanted. We came across the cutest house
that had only been on the market for a week. Hardwood floors, finished
basement, fenced in backyard. Turns out it belonged to a man that had
passed away(hopefully not in the house--hmmm), and the grandson was
in charge of selling it. Well, he lives in England and really just wanted to
get the matter taken care of. He accepted my offer and now it is mine!

I did it! I am just so happy!

Becky

Congratulations! That is so wonderful. I hope you have many happy years in your new home! Oh I'm so jealous!! Can I move in with you?? LOL Congrats!! I can't even imagine how GREAT that must feel!! If you get a chance, you should post some pics of it!! We'd love to see! :)

Congrats Becky!!  I know what a good feeling that is...hubby and I just bought a condo not too long ago (the man who owned it also passed away) and it's my first time owning a place.  No more beige walls...we're spending a couple of months fixing it up the way we like it before we move in.

I wish you and your son much happiness in your new place!

Oh that's awesome!! After being divorced and living on my own I know exactly how much this means! You go girl! What a smart investment. I never was able to swing it alone due to some credit problems.......but I so dreamed of it.

You've got to post pictures as soon as you can.

Congratulations.

Woo Hoo - we have a housewarming party coming soon at Becky's house!
