just a couple of questions
1. why do you need to take methotrexate with enbrel.
2. also, why are some people on enbrel alone if the methotrexate is
important.

I am on Enbrel and not metho. I had a bad reaction to the metho so the dr. put me on Enbrel. About 6 months after that he added Arava to the mix. I think that metho combined with Enbrel works better? Not sure. I just can't take the methoI was never told you had to be on both MTX and Enbrel. In fact my doc weaned me off Mobic, MTX and plaquenil (in that order) after we saw the beneficial effect of the Enbrel. I guess it's like any of these RA drugs, sometimes the combination is more effective.
Anna - I was on MTX but I had a bad reaction to it so I am only on Humira.Humira works well with MTX if you can tolerate it, I think the same goes for Enbrel. I hope you are feeling beter now.
