What makes you feel better on a bad day?

I have been having a few bad days and my meds arent working, so I have been in bed quite a lot trying to cheer myself up with dvd's. books etc .I couldnt get into anything so I was flicking through the channels and there was a USA programme on called "whose line is it anyway" I dont watch daytime tv so have never seen it before. I laughed so much and felt sooooooooo much better. Its become a regular thing during the day now and has improved my state of mind.

On a bad day a long hot bath. Hot water, my bed and pain meds.  Oh, I almost forgot the ice cream! if im really ill, nothing makes me feel better. but if im feeling bad usually some music is good for me, ABBA "gimme gimme gimme ...." or Madonna "Like a Prayer..".   Or any good 70s 80s disco is good.
We subscribe to Napster (can i say that????) and its really improved the quality of my life because I can listen to music all day long.

Take 2 Lortabs along with a chick flick or a comedy.  That's my recommendation for a day well spent.  I agree that laughter is the best medicine.  My hubby usually makes me laugh but if that's not woking I'll watch a movie.  Sometimes I shop on line. That always helps.  I try not to do that too often.  Can become a very bad habit.  And then there's always ice cream.  Lindy

funny movies, hot baths, getting in the pool, reading...

A shoulder rub from hubby, a really good book, some cookies or munchies, a nap in a cool room (I'm always too hot).

I get in my hot tub and soak until I am pruney. It has a lounge section to it that has jets that hit all the way down my legs and at the bottom of my feet and four that target my back. I like to keep it at 99 degrees (almost body temp) so I can stay in as long as I like. This last week, even that hasn't helped. I've tried calling my massage therapist numerous times trying to get in for a massage. I guess I will have to find a new place to go...

flowers, fish and puppiesNapping with my puppies! My family...my doggie...a nap...a nice warm bath with bath salts...a massage (I did find a good use for hubby lol)...and of course the number 1 thing to make one feel good....CHOCOLATE!!!!Hugging my crazy 4 dogs!

Summertime I have a daybed outside in the shade and when I'm feeling awful, I go there and listen to the birds and watch my cats, dog play. Getting out of the house can do wonders, even when you're feeling crappy.

What makes me feel better, is SLEEP!

I sleep to make myself feel better. If it is on a weekend when hubby is home I will sleep the whole weekend away. I have literally slept 23 hours a couple of times when I have not felt good, and I will not even wake up to eat.

If it is thru the week, I will lay in bed with son and watch his tv shows and when hubby gets home I will go to sleep and sleep the rest of the day & night.

Yep, so it is ... My bed, Pillow, and cover!

joonie39260.4741782407I either lay on my bed w/my dog or i go outside and pick at my vegetable garden. Sometimes I just sit there and stare at it - I swear I can see it growing (No, not really). I just like to sit there, listen to the birds and pick at my tomato plants, train my string beans to go up the trellis, whatever. I imagine all of the recipes I will invent with the vegetables I grow. That's wht makes winter so hard for me, snow, snow, cold and snow.Talking to my kids on the phone, looking at pics of my grandson, and laughter! Lots of it. I love Kathy Griffin and watch her show whenever I can. She really makes me laugh. And of course snuggling with my sweet kitties. They love me unconditionally.
