My hands are becoming more stiff and difficult to use. I am trying not to go up on my prednisone right now. I have seen a few posts about a special kind of gloves. Do they work? I have used the paraffin wax, and I try to excercise my fingers and hands but it doesn't seem to help much.

Hi, I have stiff hands also. Do you play an insturment? I am an artist and it is hard to grip the pastels, the charcoal, do the fine lines , etc. I'll be interested int the 'gloves' answer. I don't use them. The best help I've gotten is from the super meds, Remicade and mtx....finally. Am off prednisone, but more would have stopped the swelling, and stiffness. I purchased a new car and found the key to turn on in a different position. It absolutely drives me crazy because I can't get a good grip on the key to turn and if you put on hand lotion well just forget it.
In search for a solution I found key turner to get a better grip.

The gloves you might be talking about are compression gloves. I do not use them but I understand that they work well for many people.
