My bone density scan was 4!! So, in a sense BC/BS paid for a 5 min scan that cost 4!!!
I am sooo glad I did not have to pay any co-pay/deductible for it!
I didn't have to pay anything when I had mine done. I don't know why. Other test like MRI, and ultrasounds I've had to pay for but x-rays and the bone density: Nothing! An MRI is more than twice that much! I have to meet my deductable before they pay for those. I avoid them if possible.....but sometimes I guess you can't do that, huh?

Oh I have not called to see what the results were yet. I keep forgetting to call. I will probably just go over to his office to get a copy of the report when I go for my other appt across the hall from my RD.i have never paid for my bone density tests . the mri and full body bone scan i had about .00
