Ah Ha!! Proof! | Arthritis Information

I stumbled over my sons play weedeater that he left laying in the livingroom floor. I went to step to the side of it to get around it and for some reason I misjudged and caught it with the right side of my slipper. I almost went boom-boom and I caught myself on the couch.

Here is the proof I was talking about...

I "twisted" my knee which made my knee pop and now my knee is warm and swelled. As before the incident my knee was ok and not even swelled, I could make out my bones and all, but now it is puffy-lump

I done it this afternoon and now I am hurting, and I thought I was going to be better today, since I took Humira last night. RICE it.  Rest...Ice (I know you hate ice but wrapping an ice pack in a towel and then putting it on your knee) Compression....Elevation.  For the compression use a wide Ace Bandage.  If you can tolerate ibuprofen you can take up to 800mg every 6-8 hours.  Not for the pain necessarily, but for the swelling.

No more tripping over whipper snippers!!  Thank you to Pammy416 for new word lol.

Ditto what gramma says.  I'm still doing all those things with my new knee and believe me, all of those things work wonders for the swelling.

Watching where you're going also works wonders for knee wellness, Joonie!

Pin Cushion - I am glad the Humira finally kicked in! YAY!!

My knee is better today. It is not swelled anymore, took Naproxen and it seems to be doing well. Except, I have this like tingling sensation just below my knee cap into my shin. It feels like I pulled something.

One thing about when I almost fall or trip over something, I usually jerk my body real hard, so even if I do not fall I still get hurt from jerking. It is a lose, lose situation there.
