Not so good news/mtx & Remicade | Arthritis Information

Hi, I was so happy and thought my treatment was working, but played golf today and my 'old' left foot pain/burning was back after walking 9 holes. I took a cart but it was heartbreaking to find the meds aren't taking care of this!! I'll carry on,but it is such bad news. Lynda

Might want to get that checked out, because the MTX/Remicade might be working for your RA, but will not help with the fibro if you have it.

Keep your chin up...Have you ever seen the movie "What About Bob"?   He keeps saying "Baby
steps"..Baby steps up the stairs, baby steps open the door...and so on.

That is what I feel like RA is like. When you feel better you want to do
everything because you are afraid of the day that you will feel worse. But,
then you overdo it. Please don't get too frustrated. Maybe you just did to
much--which of course is what we ALL do on those "good days".

Bing is right. Even when my meds are at their best there are certain things that exhast me and certain things act up. I love to garden and continue to do so despite the fact that by the end of the day I feel horrible. That's the price i pay.....golf might just be your thing. Only do it occationally and know you won't feel good afterwards. Don't automatically think that your medication is giving up on you. Give it a few days. Provided you didn't actually hurt yourself you'll probable feel better in a couple of days.

Keep in mind that injury comes quicker to us for some reason. Be careful.

Oh Lynda I'm so sorry honey ::sigh::  You were doing so well, I know what a huge disappoinment this must be for you.  Rest up and hopefully you'll feel much better tomorrow.  Thinking of you & wishing you well. (((Hug)))

Didn't you just recently wean off the pred or am I just nuts?  Just wondering if maybe it might help you when you're doing something active like golfing but I really dunno.

Peace & Love...Neasy

Steer clear of it girlfriend. You worked too hard to get off of it. Give it a few days before you panic.
