OT: Need something | Arthritis Information

I have been feeling like I need to go somewhere and do something. Like go out with my daughter and hubby, and just do something. But we do not have the money to spare for that right now. I can always tell when I need to go somewhere or do something different, by how I get bored just sitting around and nothing on TV interests me and I do not want to play video games to help pass my time.

I talked hubby into taking the kids to the park on my birthday, hoping that would help me, and it was free of course, but it was TOO HOT we only lasted 15 mins and son looking red as a beat and sweat dripping from his face, so we left and went home. I went straight to my bed and laid there and doozed off.

What do you do when you feel like you are getting "stir crazy"?

I'm obviously much more mobile than you are Joonie.....but I think you should make it your goal to get out of the house everyday. Even if it's just for a short walk. Being in that house cooped up all day isn't good for you. I think mentally it would help you just to change up your routine a little.

Let's put our heads together and think of a few things Joonie can do to change her routine.

lovie how do u find the Lyrica works with pain???just read about it last week, am off pred. thankfully just taking Aleve so far so good...also picked up some orthogel advanced pain relief from foot dr. last week, rub it on my neck (have cervical spond.) and find it gives me pain free results.....

Joonie just try to get out of the house if possible, tv etc. drives one to depression.  I do a bit of sewing, and anything to occupy my hands/mind,  but I don't have the pain u are in, dx. with PMR, osteo, fibro. but thank God I can get around now, did acupuncture, massage therapy, heat/cold to no avail.  But I consider myself lucky however my children all grown and hubby wonderful, he is my best friend, so good luck and hope you feel better soon, my prayers for you and all the others in such pain and frustration.....rose
