Any suggestions on how to bring swelling down?

My knuckles in my hands, as well as my ankles, are swollen and I have taken all my meds and have found no relief.
A warm bath (if you have help getting in and out), and elevation help me a lot.  I have a bed buddy thingie I warm up in the microwave that I alternate between swollen parts and that helps a lot too.

Ice and cold are good for swelling but I've found some RA swelling never goes down. Ice sometimes works on my knees and elbows.

My hands have been permanently swollen since last September - I'm beginning to forget what knuckles look like! - even with high doses of pred and everything else.

Have you tried IBU 800mg? That use to help with the swelling in my knuckles, but as of lately it has not done much good for me. Anyways... Are you on a NSAIDs? NSAIDs are suppose to help with swelling and inflammation.

I hope the swelling goes down soon.
